Ginos East | Chicago

Since 1966. Gino's East was founded by two cabbies who were tired of driving in rush hour traffic. Somehow they ended up being really good at making deep dish. Now they have people jamming into their joints at dinner and lunch rush hours. The corn meal crust sets this place apart from the other deep dish joints in the city. A unique large place with the booths from the original place and graffiti everywhere - you're encouraged to leave your message also. I'm not going to say this is the best but it's very good. More expensive than the others and the service is hit or miss. Expect big crowds, and a wait if you go at prime time. Deep dish takes up to 45 mins to cook, so preorder either before you get there or as soon as you get there.
